Since1966, Craftworks Society has worked to provide meaningful work to Vancouver-area adults who are unable to seek and maintain regular employment due to physical challenges and/or mental illness. Through our program, participants receive volunteer-prepared craft kits which are delivered to their homes. Completed craft creations are picked up from the client's home and are displayed for sale on-line and in our society’s shop at 2208 West 4th Avenue in Vancouver, as well as at craft fairs and special events. We also work with customers to design unique handmade ornaments for staff incentives or client appreciation. By purchasing gifts, educational items and felt stories through Craftworks you are building a stronger, healthier community.
Volunteers are the backbone of organization. Some of our volunteers participate by cutting out fabrics and gathering the craft materials that make up the kits. Other volunteers work in our storefront helping customers, while others help us with offsite sales, window dressing, store display and on our volunteer board of directors.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call Gillian at 604-736-2113 for more information.
